14/10/2019

Nine months into the new administration, Brazil has experienced improvement in the business environment. Government and Congress have been cutting down red tape, removing legal uncertainties, and generally advancing rules to encourage investment and entrepreneurship.

New legal changes introduced in September and October also have the potential to boost investments in the country.

Last, but not least, we discuss the enhanced environment in telecom created by the new General Law on Telecommunications, enacted in the beginning of October.

In the first half of the year, legal changes created opportunities in the capital markets and in the oil and gas industry, as covered by LS Brazil Outlook in previous issues.
