Mr. Branco advises clients in connection with a variety of tax matters, most notably with regard to personal income tax, financial products, and corporate transactions. He also represents clients in tax disputes before federal, state and municipal tax tribunals.
Prior to joining Levy & Salomão Advogados, Mr. Branco served as head of the tax department of several information and hardware technology companies (1981-1984). He also served as head of Tax Planning at BankBoston and later Director of Tax Planning at Citibank, N.A., in Brazil. Mr. Branco has served as President of the Committee on Tax Matters of the Brazilian Association of International Banks.
